Thoughtful Work. Trusted Results.

About Us

We create video that works — clear, thoughtful, and built around real-world goals for organizations in Ottawa and across Canada.

We’re not here to sell a style or force a formula. We listen, ask smart questions, and make video that serves what actually matters—attracting talent, earning trust, or leaving something that lasts.

Clients come to us for a calm approach and clear communication. We make complex things simple—and the whole process easier than expected.

Clear video. Steady process. Strong results.

Matt Delaney - Founder

Hi — I’m Matt. I’ve produced and directed video for nearly 20 years, often for people who don’t love being on camera.

Along the way I’ve worked with teams in boardrooms, job sites, labs, and living rooms. Gear and polish matter, but what really moves a project is listening well, asking the right questions, and helping people feel comfortable on camera.

What I love most is the people—across every province in Canada, the U.S., and in 20+ countries. That range shapes how I work.

Everyone’s got a story worth telling, and I’ve built a career around helping them tell it clearly and confidently.

I started Split Productions to offer something different: high-quality, low-stress, actually useful video. Based in Ottawa and happy to travel. If you’re not sure where to start—or want to talk through what’s possible—I’m happy to connect.

Outside of client work, I’m drawn to telling human stories — especially from people facing the realities of a changing climate.

I’m a dad to two young boys, and I care about the future they’ll inherit. I’m always looking to connect with people across Canada who are living through—or leaning into—this moment of change.

If you’ve got a story to share, I’d love to hear from:

  • People affected firsthand by wildfires, flooding, or drought

  • Entrepreneurs, innovators, and local leaders building climate solutions

  • Scientists or researchers with powerful work underway

  • Kids, neighbours, or anyone quietly working for a better future

I travel often to meet people where they are. These stories don’t have to be long or polished — just real.
